Barbara has written poems, lyrics, and children’s books for many years. Since retiring from
Special Education, Barbara and her husband have moved from Hawaii to the Oregon Coast to
be closer to her grown children and grandchildren.
Barbara’s writing is deep-rooted, coming from her grandfather. Between her grandfather and
working with Special Needs children, her inspiration keeps growing.
Along with writing, Barbara enjoys walking, crabbing with her husband, and spending time with
friends and family.
Barbara has written many books such as The Healthy Alphabet, The Duck with Luck, The Girl
with the Curly Red Hair, My Trip to the Library, Oooooh Its Halloween, You Are So Special,
Holiday Story, Hawaii in the Sand, and her newest book that is close to completion, The Gnomes
of Riggs Hill.
