Barbara's Joy of Children's Books

BARBARA POOR

Barbara Poor
Barbara has been writing poems for some time now; a talent she says is inherited from her grandfather. She has worked with elementary students and children with learning disabilities, primarily autism, which has given her the inspiration for her writing.

Barbara is retired and has recently moved to the coast of Oregon from Hawaii with her husband to be closer to her children and grandchildren. In her spare time, she loves to write stories, poetry, and lyrics which have recently been recorded. She also loves to run and spend time with family and friends.
Barbara has written books such as The Healthy Alphabet, The Duck with Luck, The Girl with the Curly Red Hair, My Trip to the Library, Oooooh Its Halloween, You are So Special, The Holiday Story, Hawaii in the Sand, and is working on her new book titled The Woodlands of Winchester.
